About Sing Omaha Master Chorale

The Sing Omaha Master Chorale is composed primarily of musicians whose high school and/or collegiate choral experiences cultivated in them a high standard of excellence and professional artistic expectations.

The ensemble demands a high degree of musicianship, and stresses efficient sight-reading, attention to phrasing and dynamics, and a wide spectrum of tone colors. Singers enjoy the fast-paced nature of a weekly rehearsal, and regularly invest personal time to ensure preparedness in ensemble rehearsals.

Artistic Excellence

The Sing Omaha Master Chorale is the finest mixed choir in the area. They have earned a reputation for giving riveting performances at the highest levels of choral artistry. They are regularly sought after for public performances outside of the regular concert season, and have appeared as the keynote choir on state choral conferences on multiple occasions. Their appetite for musical growth is insatiable, and the singers’ individual commitment to highly-expressive music making matches the ensembles’ expectations for itself.

Beyond the Music

The Master Chorale enjoys collaboration, and regularly has the privilege of working and performing with locally, nationally, and internationally-renowned clinicians and ensembles. They performed as a featured ensemble at the 2013 summer conference of the Nebraska Choral Directors Association, and were honored to headline for the same organization again in July, 2017. In the summer of 2018, the Sing Omaha Master Chorale partnered with the Omaha Symphony to present Leonard Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms” and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
