About Sing Omaha Children’s Choirs

Sing Omaha Children’s Choirs are developmental training choirs for singers in K-2nd grade, which focus on pitch matching, building rhythmic vocabulary, and unison/two-part singing.

Students will have the opportunity to learn music in many different languages and styles, and will utilize pitched and non-pitched percussion, as well as body movement to enhance their learning.

Professional
Instruction

All of Sing Omaha’s elementary instructors are professional music educators, and all have post-graduate degrees and/or certifications. Your child’s musical development could not be in better hands.

Curriculum with
Your Child in Mind

In addition to professional instruction, Sing Omaha uses a children’s choir curriculum written by internationally-renowned expert, Ruth Dwyer.

This specialized teaching approach ensures that Sing Omaha’s students learn skills that will equip them for musical success through their school years and into adulthood.

Beyond the Music

While we are a music education organization, students learn many of the same life skills as sports and other activities teach. We focus on respect for each other, how to work as a team (in choir, there is no “bench”), the importance of commitment, and each member’s role in achieving a bigger group goal. These skills translate into students’ academic careers, and eventually, into their professional development.

Why Sing Omaha?

Our Children’s Choir families love to sing our praises!

My children have been a part of the Sing Omaha choirs since they were in Kindergarten and have had a wonderful experience the whole time. I feel that kids get a good start with the school systems, but if you really think that they can excel in music, Sing Omaha is the place to put them to take it up a notch.

Great people, wonderful choirs, fantastic music and concerts. There is something for everyone (kindergarten through adults). If you or your children love to sing, this is the place for you!

I sing with the Women’s choir and my kids are a part of the Children’s Choir and take lessons at Sing Omaha Studios. We have all found such joy from our involvement in the organization. All of the staff in all the different areas have always been nothing but professional and caring. I highly recommend Sing Omaha!
